Salvation
Jesus invites us all to become children of God.
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
John 3:3 (KJV)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16 (KJV)
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:9 (KJV)

LEARN MORE ABOUT JESUS
Who is Jesus?
Have you ever asked yourself any of these questions?
Why am I here? Who am I? What will happen when I die?
These questions have touched people throughout the centuries. We can discover the answers to these questions if we understand God's plan for our lives. You may have heard the story of God's love for you, also known as the “gospel” or “good news.” But what is the good news? Simply put, it is that Jesus gave Himself as a sacrifice for you so that you can have eternal life with God forever. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came into this world as a human being, lived a sinless life, died on the cross, and rose from the grave just for you!
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” - John 3:16
Jesus died on a cross to pay for your sins (failures and mistakes). Therefore, your sins and all those things can be forgiven now. And because Jesus defeated the power of death when He rose from the dead, you can receive eternal life!
Right now, you can believe in your heart this good news. You can ask Jesus to forgive you for all your past mistakes, and He will! Jesus will make you a brand new person and give you eternal life!
It is a free gift of forgiveness and eternal life that you can receive from Him right now! Right now, you can talk to God personally. He loves you so much! God wants you to talk to Him, and He wants to give you this free gift!
The next steps to receive your eternal life with Jesus Christ:
1. Believe
In the Bible, Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” (Revelation 3:20)
What does this mean? Jesus Christ is here with you right now and wants to have a personal relationship with you. It's a heart relationship. A real relationship!
The first step is to believe that Jesus is real and that He truly loves you. Believe that God has a free gift for you, eternal life, and that there is nothing you can do to earn it. It is a free gift, just for you.
The Bible says, "It is by grace you have been saved (you have eternal life), through faith
(believe in your heart). It is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. It is not by works (something you can do), so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9).
The word grace means “unmerited kindness.” God is offering you something you could never earn on your own. You don't have to work to get this gift. All you have to do is believe in your heart that Jesus died for you. Do you believe that?
2. Pray and receive
The Bible promises that you can have a new life, eternal life with Jesus Christ, when you pray!
The Bible says, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9-10).
Pray:
"Father, forgive me for my past mistakes. Make me clean. I promise to put my trust in Jesus, your Son. I believe that He died for me—He took my sins upon Himself when He died on the cross. I believe that He rose from the dead. I give my life to Jesus today. I call upon and receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Thank You, Father, for the gift of forgiveness and eternal life. Help me to live for You. In Jesus' name, Amen.“
3. Congratulations
You have just prayed and received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior!
The Bible teaches, ”But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:12).
That means you! When you let Jesus into your heart, you are now a child of God. You are now part of God's family! Yay! You now have the incredible privilege of talking to Him in prayer. At any time and about anything in your life. He loves you and loves spending time with you! The Christian life is a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
The best part is that this relationship will last forever. Congratulations! You are now brand new to Jesus! We are so excited about your new future and want to help you in your new life! YOU ARE NOW A CHILD OF GOD
What just happened?
No truth in all of the Bible has as much significance as the blessed fact that when we are born again into God's family, God the Father is our Father. He cares for us! He is interested in us—each one of us individually—not just a group, a body, or a church. He cares about each of His children and loves each of us with the same love.
God is your own Father. You are His own child. And if He is your Father, you can be sure that He will take the place of a father and play the role of a father. You can be certain that as your Father, He loves you and will take care of you. (See John 14:23; John 16:23, 27; Matthew 6:8, 9, 26, 30-34; Matthew 7:11).
Get to know your Father through the Word. When you were saved, you were born into His family as a spiritual baby. Babies in nature must eat natural food to develop and grow. The Bible instructs God's children: "Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation... "(1 Peter 2:2). It is in the Word that we discover our Father, His love, His nature, how He cares for us, and how He loves us. He is everything the Word says He is. He will do everything the Word says He will do.
You are a new creature—a new creation—a new species
In the new birth, our spirit is recreated. (Our bodies are not. It is in our spirit that all things have become new. We still have the same body we always had.) There is a man who lives inside the body. Paul calls him the inner man. (He calls the body the outer man.)
2 CORINTHIANS 4:16 ... but even if our outer man is perishing, the inner man is being renewed day by day.
Peter calls this inner man the hidden man of the heart (1 Peter 3:4). This man is hidden from the physical eye. No one can see the real you—the inner man. They may think they do, but they only see the house (the body) in which you live. You are inside looking out. The same is true of the people you know: you have never really seen the real man inside. You don't know what he looks like. You have only seen the house in which they live.
When a man's house is dilapidated, the real man still lives. The real man never dies.
It is this inner man who becomes a new man in Christ. A new creation. It is the inner man who is born into the family of God—who is God's own child—and who is in perfect union with the Master.
You are one with the Master
1 CORINTHIANS 6:17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit.
The believer and Jesus are one. Jesus said, “I am the vine, you are the branches...” (John 15:5). When you look at a tree, you don't consider the branches to be one part and the rest of the tree to be another part. You see it as a whole, as a unity. We are one with Christ. Our minds are one with Him. Jesus is the head—we are the body.
All things are possible
No one disputes the Scripture that says, “...with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26).
(Matt. 19:26). Yet the same New Testament also says, “... everything is possible for one who believes” (Mark 9:23).
Are these Scriptures both true? Could one be a statement of fact and the other a misconception? A lie? No! Both statements are facts.
All things are possible for one who believes.
This will help you, when faced with a seemingly impossible situation, to say aloud, “All things are possible to him who believes. And I believe!”
The greater one, The Holy Sprit, is now living inside of you
1 JOHN 4:4
4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
“You are of God....”
This is another way of saying that you were born of God. It says the same thing as Second Corinthians 5:17: if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. John tells us that we were born of God, that we were born again, that our spirits were recreated, that we are of God.
Unfortunately, many Christians do not know that they are born of God and have received eternal life (the life and nature of God). They think that eternal life is something they will “have” when they get to heaven. Many think they have simply received forgiveness of sins.
If we have only been taught that our sins are forgiven and that we will only remain justified if we walk carefully before God—and if we have never been taught that the nature and substance of God are in our spirit—then sin and Satan will continue to rule over us.
But when we know that the inner man, the real man, is born again and is a new self in Christ Jesus, then we will dominate and reign over Satan.
“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4).
He who is in the world is the god of this world—Satan (2 Corinthians 4:4). But thank God, he who is in us is greater than the god of this world! He who is in us is greater than Satan. He who is in us is greater than demons. He is greater than evil spirits. He is greater than sickness. He is greater than disease. He is the greatest! And He lives in me! He lives in you! He who is in you is greater than any force you may encounter.
2 CORINTHIANS 6:16
16 ... for you are the temple of the living God, as God has said: “I will dwell in them and walk among them; I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”
How many Christians are aware that God dwells in them? It seems far-fetched. But what does this Scripture mean if it does not mean what it says?
It is time for the Church to become “inner God.” For too long, it has had a spirit of weakness, sickness, inferiority, trouble, and poverty. That is all we have talked and thought about until a serious condition of doubt, unbelief, and spiritual failure has been created in the church. This psychology of unbelief has robbed us of a vibrant Christian faith and life, and of the abundant life that Jesus wanted us to have.
JOHN 10:10
10 ... I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
When we know that the Giver of Life dwells in us—that the Author of all life everywhere has condescended in the person of His Son, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to come down and live in us—then our very beings will radiate Life!
“He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” Grasp this. You are of God. You are born from above. The same powerful Spirit who raised Christ from the dead dwells in you. No wonder the Bible says, ".... everything is possible for those who believe." That's because the God with whom all things are possible lives in you!
HOW CAN I GROW IN MY FAITH?
God wants to have a relationship with us, and He has given us ways to get to know Him better.
As we get to know God, we understand His plan for us better and can strive to become more like Jesus.
1. Read the Bible
The Bible is the ultimate source of truth for Christian beliefs about life. It is God's Word written specifically to guide us in life.
Your word is a lamp to guide my steps and a light to my path. - Psalm 119:105 NLT
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching us what is true and for making us aware of what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. - 2 Timothy 3:16 NLT
2. Make prayer part of your day
Prayer is talking to God, and there is nothing more powerful than asking God for help.
Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. - Philippians 4:6 NLT
3. Listen
Talking to God is not a one-way relationship—He wants to talk to us too. Take time to learn His voice and listen to what He is saying to you.
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. - John 10:27 NLT
4. Worship
Every time we give God credit for His goodness, we worship Him. When we pray, serve, or help others in their faith, we are following God's will and showing our gratitude for who He is.
Honor the Lord for the glory of His name; worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness. - Psalm 29:2 NLT
5. Friendship
As with any other relationship, we must invest time and effort to get to know who God is and what He wants for us.
Call to me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. - Jeremiah 33:3 (NIV)
6. Connect with others
Life is better together. When we interact with other followers of Christ, we find support and encouragement to continue in our faith.
All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread (including the Lord's Supper), and to prayer. - Acts 2:42 NLT
7. Give
When we give our time, talents, or financial gifts, we give God the opportunity to prove His faithfulness.
Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, so that there may be enough food in my Temple. If you do this, says the Lord of Heaven's Armies, I will open the windows of heaven. I will pour out such a blessing that you won't have room enough to store it! Try it! Put me to the test! - Malachi 3:10 NLT
8. Share
When you experience something as good as God's love, you want to share it with those around you! Talk about how God has changed your life, build relationships, and invite someone to church with you.
Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. - Matthew 28:19 NLT
Our Great Salvation Through Jesus Christ
Are you saved?
Ask a believer this question and they will quickly answer, “Yes!” But ask them if they know exactly what they have been saved from, and you may encounter some confusion.
Most of us know that we have been saved from spiritual death, snatched from a train bound for hell. We know that our salvation has changed our final destination. But what many of us don't realize is that we don't have to sit around waiting, spiritual suitcases in hand, to die and go to glory.
God intended for us to begin our journey to heaven the moment we were born again. And sin should be the first territory we leave behind. That's because God gave us His own righteousness and authority. It's part of our great salvation.
Christians discover that we have authority, in Jesus' name, to resist sickness, poverty, demons, and fear. James 4:7 says, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”. But before we can effectively resist the devil, we must first submit to God and obey Him.
Death to sin
Jesus has already paid the price to free us from the dominion of sin. When we believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He rose from the dead, and confess Him as Lord, we are saved according to Romans 10:9-10.
Colossians 1:13 tells us that at the moment of our salvation, we are delivered from the kingdom of darkness and transferred into the kingdom of God's beloved Son. This is not something that happens when we die. We live in that kingdom right now.
When you are born again, the old sinful nature that was in you dies. A new nature created in righteousness and true holiness is born. “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation: the old has gone, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
The very life of God is the substance of this new man. Righteousness, which is being right with God, not sin, is now your nature. This righteousness is imparted to you by the Holy Spirit through the new birth.
Your spirit is instantly changed when you are born again, but your mind and body are not. It is up to you to fulfill the righteousness that has been imparted to you. You do this by renewing your mind (Romans 12:2)—this change of thinking reveals to us what God says in His Word. It transforms our entire life when we believe and obey. It enables us to fulfill God's will and walk in His BLESSING.
You see, Romans 6:6 says that it is knowing this that we will no longer serve sin. Our spirit is already dead to sin and recreated in righteousness. This inner righteousness becomes outwardly apparent when you renew your mind to this fact and act accordingly.
As soon as you are born again, sin loses its power over you. Just as death lost its power over Jesus when He rose from the dead, sin loses its power over you.
No sin is so powerful that it can dominate the person who knows he is dead to sin. Drug addiction, alcoholism, sexual sins, bad habits—all lose their power of control over those who consider themselves dead to sin.
"Likewise, consider yourselves dead to sin but alive to God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Therefore, do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts. Nor present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as those who are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God” (Romans 6:11–13).
Living for God
It is not enough to consider yourself dead to sin. You must consider yourself alive to God. This means that when sin calls you, you do not respond. You respond to God's call! You are motivated by the new man within you, not by the old man you used to be!
You can have so much of God's life flowing in you that when you walk into a place, the demons there quake and tremble with fear at your very presence! That's what the Bible says about Jesus. It says, “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him” (Acts 10:38).
One translation says that Jesus went about healing those who were oppressed by the devil. You are not dominated by the devil! You have power over the devil.
But if you focus your attention on other things, you will let the Word slip away and sin will dominate you. Hebrews 2:1, 3 says, "Therefore we must pay closer attention to what we have heard, lest we slip away. How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which was at first first declared by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him?
The Word in your heart causes you to walk after God rather than after the world. We must pay closer attention to the things we learn in God's Word and not let them slip away.
We cannot escape sin and its effects if we neglect the great salvation that the blood of Jesus has provided for us. Sin and its consequences will continue to dominate us. But if we continue with the Lord, our great salvation will bring us to a state of health—mind, soul, and body!
And God wants you to walk in the fullness of your salvation. He wants you to be whole and healthy in every area of your life. But you cannot enjoy that salvation now without renewing your mind to the fact that you are dead to sin. Deliverance from sin is the very beginning of our great salvation.
There is so much for you to learn, the main thing is to spend daily time with God and read your bible. The Bible is also God speaking to you!

Our Great Salvation
Written by Gloria Copeland
“Are you saved?"
Ask a believer that question and he'll answer with a quick, “Yes!" But ask him if he knows exactly what he's been saved from and you may run into some confusion.
Most of us realize that we've been saved from spiritual death, snatched from a hell-bound train. We know our salvation has changed our final destination. But what many of us don't realize is that we don't have to simply sit around until then, spiritual suitcases in hand, waiting to die and go to glory.

Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” But before we can effectively resist the devil, we must first submit to God and obey Him.
Dead to Sin
Jesus has already paid the price to free us from the dominion of sin. When we believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He was raised from the dead and confess Him as Lord, we are saved according to Romans 10:9-10.
Colossians 1:13 tells us that at the moment of our salvation, we are delivered out of the kingdom of darkness and translated into the kingdom of God's dear Son. This is not something that happens when we die. We live in that Kingdom now.
When you are born again, the old sin nature that used to be on the inside of you dies. A new nature created in righteousness and true holiness is born. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
The very life of God Himself is the substance of that new man. Righteousness—being in right-standing with God—not sin, is now your nature. That righteousness is imparted to you by the Holy Spirit through the new birth.
Your spirit is instantly changed when you are born again, but your mind and your body are not. It's your responsibility to fulfill the righteousness that is imparted to you. You do this by renewing your mind (Romans 12:2)—this change of thinking reveals to us what God says in His Word. It transforms our entire lives as we believe and obey. It enables us to walk out the will of God and walk in His BLESSING.
You see, Romans 6:6 says it's in knowing this that we will no longer serve sin. Our spirit is already dead to sin and re-created in righteousness. That inner righteousness becomes outwardly apparent when you renew your mind to this fact and act accordingly.
The moment you are born again, sin loses its hold on you. Just as death lost its dominion over Jesus when He was raised from the dead, so sin loses its dominion over you.
No sin is so powerful that it can dominate the person who knows he is dead to sin. Drug addiction, alcoholism, sexual sins, evil habits—all lose their power to control those who consider themselves dead to sin.
"Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God" (Romans 6:11-13).
Alive to God
It's not enough to consider yourself dead to sin. You must reckon yourself alive to God. That means when sin calls, you don't answer. You answer when God calls! You are motivated by the new man on the inside of you, not by the old man that you once were!
You can have so much of the life of God flowing out of you that when you walk into a place, the demons there shudder and tremble in fear at your very presence! That's what the Bible says about Jesus. It says, “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him” (Acts 10:38).
One translation says Jesus went about healing those who were overpowered by the devil. You are not overpowered by the devil! You have power over the devil.
But if you get your attention on other things, you will let the Word slip and sin will dominate you. Hebrews 2:1, 3 says, “Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him.”
The Word in your heart causes you to walk after God instead of after the world. We've got to give the more earnest heed to the things we learn in the Word of God and not let them slip.
We cannot escape sin and the effects of sin if we neglect the great salvation the blood of Jesus has provided us. Sin and its consequences will continue to have dominion over us. But if we will continue with the Lord, our great salvation will bring us into a state of soundness—spirit, soul and body!
And God wants you to walk in the fullness of your salvation. He wants you to be whole and sound in every area of your life. But you cannot enjoy that salvation now without renewing your mind to the fact that you are dead to sin. And deliverance from sin is the very beginning of our great salvation.
