Revelation 11:17 ELDERS THRONE IN HEAVEN

The One who is and who was and who is to come,

Because You have taken Your great power and reigned.

There is great power in thanksgiving.

Thank God for His Life and Power working in others.

2 Thessalonians 1:3

3 We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other…

faith and love are abounding in you

Giving thanks is putting our Great God in remembrance

We need to thank God for what He has done for you. God did this for me!!!

This is a great key to increase in your life!!! When you thank God you are increasing your capacity to receive from Him. It proves you are a good stewart of those things He is giving to you.

If you are ungrateful why should I give you more?

Complaining is the Enemy of Thanksgiving

We must first change our attitude of complaining and learn to give thanks in the middle of our bad situation. Thanksgiving enables God to change adverse circumstances. We will see amazing changes in our lives when we consistently keep an attitude of gratitude.

WE SEE THAT THANKSGIVING IS AN ACT OF LOVE  - it is an act of the heart!! THIS IS A GOOD HABIT!!

Psalm 50:14

"Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High."

Psalm 69:30

A life of thanksgiving is a blessed life!!!

Praise and Worship Minister to the Lord - Keith Butler

"As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them" (Acts 3:2).

Do you know you should to minister to the Lord? Many people only think about God ministering to us. Thank God, He does take care of us, but this thing is a two way street, we must minister to the Lord.

The early church ministered to the Lord by spending time in praise and worship. Well, that's how you minister to the Lord, by worshiping and by praising Him.

The Bible says, God inhabits the praise of His people. The word "inhabit" means to revel in or get smack in the middle of. God loves it when His children praise Him; and praise is an expression of our faith.

Now when you worship God, you're worshiping Him for who He is. When you praise God, you're praising Him for what He's going to do.

You worship God because He is your Maker; and the Maker of the universe, who hung the stars and moon in place, and provided all the earth's beauty and sustenance.

But you praise God because you know the same God who made the whole universe is taking care of you no matter what comes up against you. Your praise comes before you see victory—before anything happens because God will sustain you. Praising God causes you to minister to yourself and minister to God at the same time.

The Bible tells us about the various moods of God, when He was happy, sad, angry, and rejoicing. All of those emotions happened based on what His children do. As parents, we've experience the same emotions—right? We rejoice when our children do, right? And we get angry when they don't do things correctly. We are happy when they exhibit confidence in us and sad when they don't.

I can remember when my oldest daughter was small, and somebody tried to tell her something different than what I said. She told them, "No, my daddy said this, and my daddy said that." You see, she was confident in what her daddy said, and if you said something different, you were wrong because daddy is always right.

God is the same way with us. God loves when you praise Him. Praise and worship exhibits our confidence and faith in His word and will cause God to move on your behalf.

A True Worshipper - Keith Butler

"But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him" (John 4:23 KJV)

One way to receive the blessings of God is to be a true worshiper of God and a lover of His Word. Jesus said that God seeks such to worship Him. He's looking for people who will worship Him in spirit and in truth.

God is looking for people who will worship Him from their inner-most being and with all they have. Worshipping God in spirit and in truth means that the most important thing in the entire planet is your relationship to God Almighty. It is more important than your job, your friend, even your spouse. Your relationship to God is more important than your career, or anything else in your life. God is looking for true worshippers.

If you are a true worshipper, God is the first thing that comes to your mind. You look outside and see the sun and say, "Lord you're the creator of the sun. I worship you." When your feet hit the floor, you say, "Lord you're the one who created my body so that I can operate in this planet. I give you praise and glory today."

When you head to the job, or to school, you say, "Thank you Father. You're the one that's given me abundant life." You're somebody that worships God all the time. And God seeks such to worship Him.

God desires to be praised and to be worshiped. And He ought to be. He is our creator. He's the one that has saved us from the ravages of the devil who desires to kill and destroy everything about us. God is the one that keeps bringing us the word. And keeps bring us the gifts of the Spirit, and keeps bringing us men and women who will share God's Word with us and lift us up when we're down.

It's God who is the one that gives us the peace of God that passes all understanding in the middle of the temptation, test, and trial. It's God who gave us the Holy Ghost so we can pray in other tongues and speak divine secrets of God. He's the one that provides our every need. And every day we are compelled to worship Him.

I may have worked with Him every day for the last 20 years but it's not enough. I've got to worship Him today. Why don't you just lift your hands and worship God.

Scripture References: Matthew 2:2; John 4:5-29

Unified Worship - Lynne Hammond

Worship is the most common way that believers come together in unity before God. People in churches all over the world worship together every Sunday.

Even so, we rarely see the powerful results we should because, in most cases, the voices of the people are in harmony, but their hearts are not. For the power of God to be manifested, those gathered must be in one accord.

In 2 Chronicles chapter five, we see that when Israel came together for the dedication of Solomon's temple, they lifted up their voices in one accord, and the glory cloud rolled into the house:

And it came to pass when the priests came out of the Most Holy Place (for all the priests who were present had sanctified themselves, without keeping to their divisions),

and the Levites who were the singers, all those of Asaph and Heman and Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, stood at the east end of the altar, clothed in white linen, having cymbals, stringed instruments and harps, and with them one hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets—

indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying:

"For He is good, for His mercy endures forever," that the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God.
(2 Chron. 5:11-14 NKJV)

This is the very reason that it is so important that the music ministry be in one accord, as well as those gathered corporately. Great power is available when God's people worship in real unity.

According to 1 Timothy 3:15, there is a way to behave in the house of God. But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

How were the people behaving when the glory cloud rolled in? They were worshipping and praising God in one accord. That's how we're to behave in the house of God. You won't see the manifest presence of God if part of the people are praising in one accord and others are thinking about the roast they have at home in the oven.

Another example of unified worship is found in Acts 16:25: "And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them."

Here, we find Paul and Silas in a critical situation. They'd been beaten and imprisoned. It was truly a midnight hour for them. Certainly they needed to pray. But I want you to notice that they didn't stop at prayer.

The Bible says that they prayed and sang praises. Often people will pray, and pray, and pray and pray. But Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises.

Do you know what happened as they praised God together in that jail? God sent an earthquake! It shook all the doors open, and everyone's bands were loosed. Their feet were in stocks, but the earthquake set them free.

There are times when we need nothing more than to pray and praise, because that's the combination that will bring down the power of God and set us free.
