God Has Promised You Long Life
Written by Kenneth E. Hagin
With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. (Ps. 91:16)
We used to have divine healing services every Saturday night in our church, and Grandma Jeffcoat would be carried in. Sometimes she would have a spell, and we would think she was dead. Then somehow she would start breathing again. Those were some experiences!
That went on for about six months. We can get faith into people by teaching them, but we also need to get them into services where God is manifesting Himself.
One Saturday night, Grandma Jeffcoat was at the service, and as we came to the close, I had a little quick vision about her. I saw her out of her chair dancing. I looked over at her and told her it was her time.
I walked down off the platform, laid hands on her, and prayed. At the moment, nothing happened, but ten minutes later, she let out a yell, jumped out of the chair, and started dancing. She was healed!
Several years later, my wife and I stopped by to visit her when she was ninety-one years old. Her daughter said that she was away visiting some people and that she was always busy running around.
Grandma Jeffcoat's doctor had just examined her and said that he had never seen anything quite like it before. Her heart was perfect, and there wasn't a thing wrong with her! The doctor was fifty-five and said that he wished he was in as good a condition as she was!
Grandma Jeffcoat died when she was ninety-three, without sickness and disease! She just fell asleep in Jesus. I'm so glad I didn't let her die of that cancer.
Confession:
I will live a long life on the earth. And I will die without sickness and disease.
Lifespan – is 120 years old really the new normal?
Series notes by David & Carol Joy Breed
Having a very long & satisfied life is Godly!!
GOD PROMISES US THAT HE WILL HELP US LIVE LONG AND STRONG HERE ON THE EARTH!!
Psalm 91:16 (ESV) GODS PROMISE OF LONG LIFE
16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation. we are to live until we are satisfied.
Psalm 91:16 (TPT)
16 You will be satisfied with a full life and with all that I do for you. For you will enjoy the fullness of my salvation!
There has been significant attention in the past 20 years because of the remarkable growth in people living over 100 years old.
In January of this year the United Nations said there are now some 573,000 cent-en-arians on the planet, with that figure set to rise to 3.7million in 2050 over the age of 100.
Exodus 23:25-26 (CEB)
25 If you worship the Lord your God, the Lord will bless your bread and your water. I’ll take sickness away from you, 26 and no woman will miscarry or be infertile in your land. I’ll let you live a full, long life.
Psalm 41:2-3 (MSG)
God looks after us all, makes us robust with life!
Psalm 41:2 (NLT)
2 The Lord protects them and keeps them alive.
Psalm 1 (TPT)
3 He will be standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God’s design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruit in every season of his life. He is never dry, never fainting, ever blessed, ever prosperous.
We often hear how 40 is the new 30, 70 is the new 50 or 100 is the new 80. Now, it also appears that 110 could be the new 100.
In the book Longevity Industry 1.0, authors Dmitry Kaminskiy and Margaretta Colangelo state: “Life expectancy is longer than we assume. On average, middle-aged people today can expect to live 120 years; the elderly can expect to live to 100; and younger people can expect to live beyond 120 years.”
Lets see what the bible says:
Didn’t the bible quote we only have 70 or 80 years on this earth? Lets look at the very verse people are quoting.
Psalm 90:10 (KJV) A Psalm of Moses
10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten (70); and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years (80), yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off and we fly away.
A number of people have taken this as being the maximum of life that anyone could expect to live, about 70 years, or if you’re strong, you might make it to 80. They’ve taken that as the scriptural approximate maximum one might expect to live. But this passage was not given for that purpose. He is describing what is happening to the generation of Israelites that are perishing in the wilderness. Look at this and look at the other passages, and see how they fit together.
Reading in Numbers 14, we see they had tempted/disobeyed the Lord ten times by not believing Him, and they said,
“We’re all going to die out here,” and they kept saying that every time they turned around. “We’re all going to die out here.” And when He told them to go up and take the land, they didn’t. They sat in their tents and cried in unbelief. Finally, He said to them in:
Numbers 14:28-29, “As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you: Your carcasses shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, which have murmured against me.” He told them, “All of you from 20 years old and older are going to die out here in this wilderness like you said you were.”
Now we look at Psalms 90 again in the amplifies it will make more sense.
Psalm 90: (4-10) - Psalm of Moses
9 For all our days [out here in this wilderness, says Moses] pass away in Your wrath; we spend our years as a tale that is told [for we adults know we are doomed to die soon, without reaching Canaan].
10 The days of our years are [threescore years and ten (seventy years)—or even, if by reason of strength, fourscore years (eighty years); yet is their pride [in additional years] only labor and sorrow, for it is soon gone, and we fly away.
God already told us before Moses was even born how many days God has given us on the earth. Lets look!
Genesis 6:3 Common English Bible (CEB)
3 The Lord said, “My breath will not remain in humans forever, because they are flesh. They will live one hundred twenty years.”
Genesis 6:3 (MSG)
3 Then God said, “I’m not going to breathe life into men and women endlessly. Eventually they’re going to die; from now on they can expect a life span of 120 years.”
PART 2 - TODAY STORIES ABOUT THOSE LIVING OVER 100
SCHOLARS PUT ANNA THE PROPHETESS AT 104 YEARS
Luke 2:36-38 The Message (MSG)
36-38 Anna the prophetess was also there, a daughter of Phanuel from the tribe of Asher. She was by now a very old woman. She had been married seven years and a widow for eighty-four.
She never left the Temple area, worshiping night and day with her fastings and prayers. At the very time Simeon was praying, she showed up, broke into an anthem of praise to God, and talked about the child to all who were waiting expectantly for the freeing of Jerusalem.
She got married around 13 years old, then she was married for 7 years then you add the 84 years she served God in the temple - that adds up to 104 years old.

Mrs. Geneva (O’Kelly) McDaniel - died at 111 1/2 years old.
WHAT TO HEAR SOMETHING TO TWEEK YOUR THINKING
Thomas Parr of Shropshire (1483-1635) - 152 years old.
Some traits I have noticed in studying out people that live over 100 for the last 20 years - I remember the stories.
1) They are carefree. Cast all your cares on the Lord and not on yourself.
2) They love & enjoy everybody/everyone. Jesus said love your God love your neighbor as yourself
3) They don't care what other people think about them. No fear of man.
4) They are active. - living active lifestyles.
5) They are free and very content with life.
6) They enjoy life!!
Job 5:26 says, “Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in his season.” When? It comes in his season.
Another translation says, “You will be like wheat that grows until harvest time. You’ll live a ripe old age.”
The Contemporary English Version says, “You’ll live a long life, and your body will be strong until the day you die.”
Exodus 23:25-26 (CEB)
25 If you worship the Lord your God, the Lord will bless your bread and your water. I’ll take sickness away from you, 26 and no woman will miscarry or be infertile in your land. I’ll let you live a full, long life.
