Desiring More of God's Glory -  Kenneth W. Hagin

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord" (Luke 4:18-19).

You and I as believers have a responsibility to take the reality of God's power to those who are in need. All the anointing and power we will ever need to produce a mighty revival throughout this earth is available to the Body of Christ right now. I believe we are standing on the brink of a great move of God and a mighty outpouring of His Spirit.

I was just a child when the great healing revivals began in the 1940s. Those revivals didn't come because people just sat around, saying, "Revival is coming! Revival is coming!" No, those revivals came because men and women of God set their faces like flint toward the Lord and sought Him with all of their hearts.

God's glory is revealed when men and women seek God's glory and prepare themselves before Him to be channels of His glory to bless mankind. And as my dad, Rev. Kenneth E. Hagin, has said many times, preparation time is never wasted time.

I remember as a child how Dad would spend hours on end in prayer, seeking God because he sensed there was something more to come in the move of God upon the earth. Dad never prayed for the Lord to use him or to put him at the forefront of the next wave of revival. But he did pray, "Lord, make me a blessing wherever I go." Dad hungered with all of his being for the glory of God to be revealed and the plan of God to be consummated on the earth.

Many in the Body of Christ have the mistaken idea that God has only chosen certain ministers to seek His face and to be vessels of His glory and power in the earth today. But God is beckoning all believers everywhere to draw near to Him and become men and women of destiny in this hour, fulfilling God's plan in the earth.

So don't leave "seeking God" for someone else to do. The Bible says, "The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former..." (Hag. 2:9). Great men and women of God from yesteryear have lived and died, having blazed a trail before us. They tasted some of the glory which is yet to be revealed to us, and they were faithful to pass on the vision - the torch of revival which burned so deeply in their hearts.

Who will dare to pay the price to take the reality of God's power and glory to those in need? Revival comes when there is revival in men's and women's hearts. So let us run the race and finish the course that God has set before us. We need to diligently seek God's face, keeping the torch lit and the flame of revival burning brightly in our hearts.

And we need to direct man's eyes to Jesus, not to a minister or a manifestation. It's as we lift up and exalt Jesus that men will be drawn unto Him (John 12:32). And the Spirit of the Lord will be upon the Body of Christ like never before to preach the Gospel, heal the sick, and set the captives free - and God's glory will be revealed in all the earth!

The Glory of God - Kenneth E. Hagin

Have you ever been among a gathering of believers where the Presence of the Holy Spirit was so strong people were not even able to stand? I have, many times. I don't know about you, but I am hungry to see more of the glory of God manifested in our midst. That's what God wants. He is growing us up spiritually as a Body so we will usher in His manifested Presence more and more when we come together to worship and magnify His Name.

What are we talking about when we refer to "the glory of God"? Let's compare two scriptures to find an answer to that question. The Bible states that it was the glory of the Father which raised Jesus from the dead: "Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father" (Rom. 6:4). But the Bible also says the Holy Spirit raised Jesus from the dead: "The Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead" (Rom. 8:11).

So the glory of the Lord is the manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Throughout the Old and New Testaments, the Bible gives different instances of God revealing His glory to man by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Sometimes in my meetings the glory cloud will come as I am about to minister to people in a healing line. The first time that happened I was holding a meeting for Brother Gordon Lindsay in the 1960's. I had laid hands on about half of the people in the healing line. Then I saw the glory cloud rolling into the building. I walked back to the pulpit because I knew in that instance if I stood in that cloud, I would fall under the power of the Holy Spirit along with the rest of the people. The cloud came floating over the heads of the congregation.

Meanwhile, the people in the healing line all had their eyes closed and were worshipping God. They weren't watching me. I waited until the cloud was right above the people in the healing line, and then I waved my hand. When I did that, every person in the healing line fell down like dominoes under the power of the Spirit.

The people in the healing line were experiencing the power of the Holy Spirit, just as the priests did when God's glory filled the temple and they could not stand up to minister (2 Chron. 5:13-14).

Another way the glory of God can be manifested is shown in Acts 9, the account of Saul's encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus shows us that the glory of God can be manifested as light. As Saul traveled to Damascus on a mission to persecute Christians, he was arrested in his journey by a light from Heaven that shone round about him (Acts 9:3). Later Paul relates that experience to a crowd in Jerusalem, saying, "I could not see for the glory of that Light" (Acts 22:11).

You see, Saul wasn't blinded by a physical impairment in his eyes. He was blinded for a time because the glory of God came upon him.

God desires to demonstrate His glory and power upon this earth today, just as He did in the Bible. I am of the opinion that God wants to manifest His power and glory more today than He has been able to, and He is endeavoring to get the Body of Christ to a position where He can do that.

In this generation, we've received revelation from the Word about the baptism of the Holy Spirit and speaking in other tongues. But it seems to me that we've stopped at the door to the supernatural realm of God. There is so much more to experience in the realm of God's Spirit.

I'm not talking about fanaticism. But I'm saying we have only gotten to the edge of that realm of the Spirit where God's glory dwells. It's like dipping our toes in the water a little and then jumping around shouting, "Isn't this wonderful!" But God wants us to go a little deeper into the water.

In other words, He wants us to learn to operate supernaturally in the realm of the Spirit. As we learn how to do that, God will have more freedom to demonstrate His glory and power in a greater measure upon this earth.

In these days in which we live, there are going to be more manifestations of God's glory. God wants to powerfully manifest His glory in our midst. I believe that more and more the Body of Christ is getting in position for Him to do that. We are almost there. In fact, I believe we are only a half a step away from it! Let's all seek the Lord diligently and learn the ways of the Holy Spirit. Let's strive to be of one mind and one accord as a body of believers.

It's time to prepare ourselves for a greater measure of the manifestation of God's power and glory to be ushered in upon this earth, so those in the world might believe in and accept our glorious risen Savior!

The Glory of God Inside You - Creflo Dollar

Earthly manifestations of God's glory did not end the day on the mountain with Moses.

A few months after Jesus' death, resurrection, and ascension to heaven, an event occurred that was unprecedented in the history of the world. It was an event that would make the glory, presence, and power of God available to you and me. We read about it in Acts, Chapter 2:

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
(Acts 2:1-4)

On this remarkable day, the Spirit of Almighty God was poured out upon man. Up to that point, the Holy Ghost had only rested upon man for short periods of time. Now the Spirit was available to abide within man, indwelling them 24-hours-a-day and supercharging them with the power of God.

Moments after the event just described had occurred, the apostle Peter preached a Holy Ghost-inspired sermon to explain what had taken place:

But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, "Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

"But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; and it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, 'I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: and on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy.'"
(Acts 2:14-18)

Pentecost brought a whole new dimension to experiencing the presence of God.

In fact, it almost brings us full circle to where Adam was before the Fall. Adam had the life of God inside himself; so too can we, as believers, have the life of God inside us.

Walk in the Glory - Kenneth Copeland

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection" (Phil. 3:10).

Within the spirit of every born-again child of God, there is a divine hunger. That hunger cannot be satisfied either by the things of this world or by the theologies of religion. It is not a desire that fades with time. On the contrary, the longer we walk with God, the stronger it grows.

The Apostle Paul walked in more revelation knowledge than any man except Jesus, yet when he wrote his Philippian partners, he expressed a spiritual hunger that was so powerful it completely overshadowed everything else in his life: "I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ, the Anointed; Jesus my Lord and His Anointing…That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection" (Phil. 3:8-10).

When you read those words, you can see exactly what Paul desired…a deeper revelation of the Anointed One and His Anointing…and to know the power of His Resurrection. What is the power of His Resurrection?

According to Romans 6:3-4, Jesus was raised from the dead by the Glory of God. So the power of the Resurrection is actually the Glory. Paul's burning desire was to know Jesus, the Anointed One and His Anointing…and to know the Glory of God!

The Glory is the most awe-inspiring subject in the Bible. It's so big you have to read the Old and New Testaments front to back to begin to get insight into it. In Exodus 33:18, Moses cried out to God to show him His Glory. God replied, "I will make all my goodness pass before thee" (v. 19). God's Glory is also His goodness. God's Glory is Himself!

Jesus is filled with and surrounded by the Glory and all that it is. All life. All goodness. He is untouchable by death ever again. He walks in all authority both spiritually and physically in heaven and in earth.

Everything man has and everything God has all rolled up into one Being with the Glory of God flowing in His veins - that's Jesus. And we are destined to be conformed to His image. We're headed toward the same fullness of Glory! That's why Jesus died for us. That's why He was raised again - so He could bring many sons unto Glory! (Heb. 2:10).

Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the Glory of God." But praise God, Jesus took our sin and bore the penalty of it. Therefore we can know the Glory. We can partake of the Glory. We can let it permeate our lives and change everything! Get in on it. Get an understanding of it. Walk in the Glory!

Speak the Word: I am determined to know Jesus and the power of His resurrection. (Phil. 3:10)

His Glory - Kenneth Hagin

"And the Word became flesh. And pitched his tent among us, And we gazed upon his glory, - A glory...full of favour and truth" (John 1:14 Rotherham).

I love Rotherham's translation of John 1:14 - it is so beautiful.

We've tended to think of Christ's coming to the earth as a man only in terms of His self-denial in leaving glory, or else in terms of His suffering on this earth. But I believe it was a joy to Christ, who so loved man and so desired man's fellowship, to "pitch His tent" among us so that He might give to alienated man - who had never known his Creator - a true conception of His Heavenly Father.

It was good tidings of great joy which the angel proclaimed to the shepherds - and to all people everywhere. Man, separated from God for 4,000 years, could now gaze upon God's glory, could now see God, could now know God as He is, and could now be reunited with Him!

"And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord" (Luke 2:10-11).

The Word has become flesh!

Confession: Like the multitude of the heavenly host, I, too, am praising God. Praise God for sending a Savior! Praise God for Christ the Lord! Praise God for allowing us to gaze upon His glory!

God’s Pattern, God’s Glory

Written by Patsy Camenetti

For my birthday one year, an intern of ours who was an exceptional artist presented me with a beautiful picture she had painted. It’s really a lovely painting, but as lovely as it was, it was unsigned. So, I asked her to please sign it. Her signature said it was indeed her work and finished. A true artist won’t sign a painting if somebody else does the work on his or her painting.

God signed the tabernacle and the temple with His glory. God’s glory is His signature on the work of art He has created!

When God created the world, He didn’t use what already existed on earth as a pattern. He created things that had never existed before by His Word. When it came to making man, God didn’t use a pattern of anything He had made previously on any other day of creation. The pattern God used to make man was Himself. “God said, ‘Let us make human beings in our image to be like us.”

The two dwelling places God commissioned to be built in the Old Testament illustrate the fact that God did not use earthly patterns. We also see that God is very specific about what He wants and how He wants it.

Acts 7:44 says that the Tabernacle was constructed according to the pattern God showed Moses. It wasn’t constructed according to any design that Moses had seen in Egypt. Moses didn’t use Egyptian architecture to build the tabernacle. It was a new plan. It came from heaven—not from Egypt. God gave Moses this warning in Exodus 25:40, “Be sure that you make everything according to the pattern I have shown you….” In Egypt? No! “…on the mountain.”

The tabernacle was not some kind of concoction that emerged from a group discussion or a special committee assigned to come up with what it should look like. No, God took Moses away from every other influence, up onto the mountain of God, and there, God gave him the pattern of the original that came from heaven itself. God had a pattern in Himself, and He showed it to Moses.

Solomon’s temple, like the tabernacle, was built exactly according to the specs and design that came from God. God was just as precise about it.

As a result, both were filled with the glory of God upon their completion. God never fills man’s plans with His glory. Man may even dedicate his plan to God. Still, He won’t fill it with His glory. The only thing that God fills with His glory is what comes from Him. If man does the work, God won’t take the credit (Psalm 127:1).

One primary reason we know that man didn’t evolve from any other type of life created earlier is that God very plainly said four times in Genesis 1 that the pattern He used to make man was Himself. The pattern was not from something He made some other time in His creation. No, the Word makes it abundantly clear. God Himself is the pattern in the creation of man.

Adam was made to represent, resemble, reflect, and image God like a mirror. God was the pattern for man. Man and woman were perfect visible images of the invisible God. Like a mirror is not a person but images or reflects a person, Adam and Eve were made to image and reflect God. You couldn’t see God, but you could see man. In other words, if you could see man, there wouldn’t be any confusion about what God was like. Man was created to reflect God’s likeness. And He will fill His creation with His glory!

God’s glory is His signature on the work of art He has created! Do you want the glory of God on your life as well?

It comes on a life that represents and reflects Him – a life made in the image of God Himself.
