“Living Beyond the Possible.” - Carol Joy praying out the future. - 2/10/24

Faith means = It Will Work Out! Whatever it is, Faith says it will work, in whatever we will do = it will work!

"The people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits." (Daniel 11:32)

God’s Power on You!

Prophecy given in Houston, Texas, by Dr. Kenneth E. Hagin

God's power shall come into manifestation in this hour. His glory shall be revealed as never before. And men shall see His glory! They shall behold His power!

I'm going to take you on into My power.

You've only touched the outside realm; just the edge.

A few men stepped a little further, And momentarily had a manifestation Of divine power in their ministries. Even the dead on many occasions Have been raised, And great miracles of healing Have happened. But no man has ever stepped Into that realm To abide and minister.

I'm preparing a group in this day, Who without fear and in faith, Will step out of the natural.

They will step out Beyond human mentality; Step out beyond The physical senses;

Step over into the realm of faith; Step into the realm Of power and glory.

And My glory, Saith the Lord, Shall be made manifest Unto thee.

And many who will doubt, I'll even visit them.

And the visible cloud of the Lord Shall even come Into visible contact with them.

And they'll say, "Surely the Lord Is at work .... "

“Hearing Faith [on a subject] is where Faith Comes From” - 5/26,2023 - Holy Spirit to me.

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. - Romans 10:17 (NKJV)

Another translation says:

Romans 10:17 (BDS)

17 Donc, la foi naît du message que l’on entend, et ce message vient par la parole de Christ.

English translation of this verse:

17 So faith is born of the message we hear, and that message comes through the word of Christ.

I believe this version makes this passage very clear. Faith is born out of the message that we are hearing. Whatever we are hearing [listening to] we will have “the knowings in our heart” the faith [belief] to manifest these things- good or bad.

Kenneth E Hagin:
“I could care less if God used me. I wish He’d take me off the platform. I’d be perfectly happy in a prayer room, never being seen or heard. If you want to be seen or heard, you shouldn’t be on any platform. The people don’t need to see or hear you but Jesus, anyway.”

Daily Prayers

We pray Bible Scriptures over you and then pray in the Holy Spirit over you, and your life, everyday.

Father, we pray for our Partner Family all over the world,

from the base to the 4 corners of the earth.

All the family, partners, missions, ministries and churches:

Psalm 2:8

Ask of Me, and I will give You, The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.

Psalm 23

1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.

3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness, For His name’s sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.

Psalm 45:1 - New King James Version

45… My tongue is the pen of a ready/skillfull writer.

AND

Psalm 45:1 - Living

45 … for I am as full of words as the speediest writer pouring out his story.

Psalm 67 (TLB)

1 O God, in mercy bless us; let your face beam with joy as you look down at us.

2 Send us around the world with the news of your saving power and your eternal plan for all mankind. 3 How everyone throughout the earth will praise the Lord! 4 How glad the nations will be, singing for joy because you are their King and will give true justice to their people! 5 Praise God, O world! May all the peoples of the earth give thanks to you. 6-7 For the earth has yielded abundant harvests. God, even our own God, will bless us. And peoples from remotest lands will worship him.

Psalm 91

1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13 Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Psalm 103

1 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

19 The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.

20 Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

21 Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

Psalm 113

7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;

8 That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.

9 He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord.

Isaiah 26:3-4

3 You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.

4 Trust in the Lord forever, For in Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength.

Isaiah 32:18 (KJV)

18 And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

Daniel 1:17 & 20 (KJV)

17 As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and gave them understanding in all visions and dreams.

20 And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.

Luke 4:18-19 (Isaiah 61:1-11)

18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

1 Corinthians 2:4-5

4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 - New King James Version

4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not [a]puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, [b]thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

8 Love never fails.

AND

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 - Amplified Bible

4 Love endures with patience and serenity, love is kind and thoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant. 5 It is not rude; it is not self-seeking, it is not provoked [nor overly sensitive and easily angered]; it does not take into account a wrong endured. 6 It does not rejoice at injustice, but rejoices with the truth [when right and truth prevail]. 7 Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening].

8 Love never fails [it never fades nor ends].

Ephesians 1:16-23

16 (I) do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Ephesians 3:14-21

14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Ephesians 4:29-32

29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Ephesians 6:19-20

19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Philippians 4:19

19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

ALL MY NEEDS ARE SUPPLIED AHEAD OF TIME.

ALL OF OUR BILLS AND NEEDS ARE PAID ON TIME, WE ARE NEVER LATE ON A BILL OR PAYMENT, WE HAVE ALL OF OUR NEEDS MET AHEAD OF TIME, IN JESUS NAME.

ALL DAY LONG WE ARE RECEIVING THIS SUPPLY.

ALL DAY LONG PEOPLE ARE GIVING TO US.

ALL DAY LONG WE POSSESS THIS SUPPLY.

WE CALL YOU IN SUPPLY, WE CALL ALL OR BILLS PAID AND ALL OUR NEEDS SUPPLIED AND MORE THAN WE NEED SO WE CAN HAVE ABUNDANCE AND GIVE TO OTHERS, IN JESUS NAME. IT’S A DONE DEAL FATHER, THANK YOU FATHER! WE RECEIVE IT ALL IN JESUS NAME! FOR YOUR GLORY!!

Colossians 1:9-14

9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Colossians 4:3-6

3 Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:

4 That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.

5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.

6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

THE CALL TO PRAYER - FRENCH BDS

2 Thessalonians 3:1-3 - King James Version

3 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:

2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.

3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

AND

2 Thessalonians 3:1-3 - Living Bible

3 Finally, dear brothers, as I come to the end of this letter, I ask you to pray for us. Pray first that the Lord’s message will spread rapidly and triumph wherever it goes, winning converts everywhere as it did when it came to you. 2 Pray, too, that we will be saved out of the clutches of evil men, for not everyone loves the Lord. 3 But the Lord is faithful; he will make you strong and guard you from satanic attacks of every kind.

AND

2 Thessaloniciens 3:1-3 - La Bible du Semeur - L’appel à la prière = THE CALL TO PRAYER

3 John 2 (NKJV)

2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

 Missionary Quotes

C.T. Studd spent his life as a missionary mobilizing the church to “Come.” Once he said, “There are more than twice as many Christian ‘officers’ at home among the peaceful Britain’s 40 million evangelized inhabitants, than the whole number of forces fighting at the front among 1.2 billion unreached! And yet such call themselves soldiers of Christ.”

Pope John Paul II (1990) - “I see the dawning of a new missionary age, which will become a radiant day bearing an abundant harvest, if all Christians . . . respond with generosity and holiness to the calls and challenges of our time. Like the apostles after Christ's Ascension, the Church must gather in the Upper Room "together with Mary, the Mother of Jesus" (Acts 1:14), in order to pray for the Spirit and to gain strength and courage to carry out the missionary mandate. We too, like the apostles, need to be transformed and guided by the Spirit .“

Stay put in the hard places and eventually you will rest on the mountain top!

One of Pastor Davids Favorite Teachings,

Keep Your Faith Producing - Written by Mark Brazee

And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to eat? And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
(Luke 17:6-8)

Jesus is saying here to treat your faith like a servant. If you want it to grow, which you do (the original statement was "Lord, increase our faith"), plant it and treat it like a servant. When it grows and produces the harvest, plant it again—don't give it a rest. Don't give it a break.

Your faith doesn't need a rest.

When it produces a harvest, plant it again. Every time you plant it, it will get stronger and stronger and stronger. It will have a bigger harvest.

Your Faith Doesn't Have Time to Rest
Don't give your faith a rest. I did that one time. I had really had to exercise my faith for finances at one time. Then I got to a point where I moved into a different position and was making pretty good money. I had a paycheck coming in every two weeks. I had enough to take care of my needs abundantly. I just knew it was going to be there and it was.

I took my faith off. I thought, my needs are met. I'm not concerned about it anymore. I just took my faith off and didn't exercise it for quite a while in the area of finances. I gave my faith a rest.

When God moved me on to a different position, I took a big cut in pay, in the natural. I hadn't exercised my faith in that area for a long time. When I got out there, my standard of living had increased so that my bills were bigger than my income.

I had to wake my faith up and get it out there operating to get my needs met. It took almost two months to get it operating again because it had been on an extended vacation.

Don't let your faith have a rest. Keep it exercised. Keep it operating. Use it all the time.

Treat Your Faith Like A Servant
If you had a servant, after he had completed one job you wouldn't let him come in and sit down and eat for six hours, would you? No. You would keep him busy all day. It's the same thing with your faith except your faith is not a natural servant—it's a supernatural servant and it doesn't need a break. All you have to do is just keep feeding it. If you'll keep feeding it, it'll keep working.

If you can see something you desire to see come to pass in your life, or you can see a problem out there in the future that looks bigger than you desire to run into when you get there, or if there is a problem facing you right now, take your faith and plant it with your mouth.

It doesn't matter how bad the situation looks, just believe that the Word of God is growing and producing. Keep it planted out there. Keep watering it with the Word. Keep it growing.

The Word of God is supernatural—it's incorruptible seed. It will grow and produce what it says it will produce.

Man & Miracles

Timeless Teachings  //Kenneth E. Hagin

Man was created by a supernatural God and was designed to live in God's supernatural realm on this earth.

If you are a believer, your spirit was made a new creation supernaturally in the new birth. If you are Spirit-filled, you were supernaturally filled with the Holy Spirit and were given supernatural utterance in other tongues by that same Holy Ghost.

You can live a supernatural life in Christ by maintaining a supernatural prayer life. One way to develop your spirit is by praying much in other tongues.

Not only will praying in tongues develop your spirit, it will also help bring the supernatural power of God into manifestation.

Yearning for the Miraculous
People have a deep-seated desire for the miraculous demonstration of God's power and glory. That's because mankind was created in the image of a supernatural, miracle-working God. And God has provided an entrance into the supernatural through the baptism in the Holy Spirit and by His Word.

Mankind yearns to see the miracle-working power of God in demonstration. But sin has blinded many and has kept them imprisoned in the natural realm. Thank God, though, that the hunger for the supernatural is within our hearts. If we seek after God, we can learn to live in the supernatural realm by the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.

Many churches have backed off from the supernatural workings of God. This is true even of churches that used to believe and operate regularly in the supernatural. As a result, the supernatural has waned in those churches, and the miraculous is no longer in manifestation.

When churches keep the Holy Spirit from having His way in their services, they eventually become cold and dead spiritually. When any body of believers denies the supernatural, they begin following a dead religion of ethics instead of experiencing a supernatural relationship with a miracle-working God.

In Jesus' day people were drawn to Him because He was a miracle worker. If ministers today would preach the anointed Word and allow Jesus to work miracles in their midst, people would be drawn to come and witness the supernatural power of God!

Ring the Dinner Bell
As a young preacher, I heard Raymond T. Richey preach at the Texas District Council meetings of the Assemblies of God. He often said, "Divine healing is the dinner bell. Keep ringing that bell and people will come."

I went back to my church, which had a congregation of less than 100, and began ringing the dinner bell every Saturday night. I preached what the Word of God said about the power of the Gospel to save, deliver, and heal.

For six months nothing happened. But then we hit a gusher! The insane were delivered! The paralyzed were healed! People were raised up from deathbeds! And people from several neighboring counties came and filled the building every Saturday night.

I kept ringing the dinner bell, and God was faithful to manifest His supernatural delivering power.

Miracles Are for Today
Jesus is as much a miracle worker today as He ever was. He has not changed. And man needs the miraculous power of God today just as much as he ever did.

Some people say, "We don't need miracles anymore." But we do! Thank God we can act upon God's Word, and God's power will manifest just as it did in the days when Jesus walked the earth.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever
(Heb. 13:8). He has not changed. If He healed people when He walked upon this earth, He heals today. If He worked miracles then, He works miracles today.

We need to find out how to scripturally put a demand on
Jesus' miracle-working power. Then we can work with Him and see His miraculous power manifested in our lives.

Preach the Word
What causes Jesus to demonstrate His power with signs and miracles? The answer is in Mark 16:20: "And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following." How did the Lord work? He worked with the disciples by confirming the Word they preached with signs following.

Jesus works with us today just as He worked with the Early Church. If we want to increase the manifestation of God's miraculous power in our midst, we must do what those in the Early Church did—preach the Word!

God confirms His Word! He won't confirm a particular preacher. He won't confirm a personality. He will confirm the Word with signs following!

I was reading this passage in Mark chapter 16 one day when I was pastoring my last church, and I got stirred up about it. I began to fast and pray and wait on God.

"Lord," I said, "things are comfortable in our church. The church is growing. It's financially sound. A few people are getting saved and baptized in the Holy Ghost, and a few are being healed. But as I read Mark chapter 16, it seems to me that we ought to be experiencing more supernatural signs and demonstrations of Your power than we are."

On the third day of my fast, the Lord spoke to my spirit, "I said I would confirm My Word with signs following."

"I know that," I said. "That's what I'm praying and fasting about. I want to see You do it."
The Lord said, "Do you think I'm a liar?"
"Oh, no. You're not a liar."

"You don't have to pray that I will do it," He said. "You don't even have to fast to get Me to do it. If you will put the Word out, I will confirm My Word."

I checked up on what I was preaching and I found out that 60 percent was Word, 35 percent was unbelief, and 5 percent was tradition! When I stopped preaching unbelief and religious tradition, we immediately began to see results. Signs followed the Word and the miraculous power of God began manifesting in our church.

The early Christians didn't heal the sick and cast out devils without putting out any Word. First they preached the Word. Then the Lord confirmed the Word they preached with signs following.

The supernatural is man's realm. It's up to us whether we live our lives supernaturally in the power of the Holy Spirit. If we will educate our spirits by diligently studying the Word of God and praying in the Holy Ghost, the supernatural realm of God will become as natural to us as water is to fish.

Who Is John G. Lake

John G. Lake

"A Man of Healing"

If there was ever a man who walked in the revelation of "God in man," it was John G. Lake. A man of purpose, vision, strength and character, his one goal in life was to bring the fullness of God to every person. He often said that the secret of heaven's power was not in the doing, but in the being. He believed that Spirit-filled Christians should enjoy the same type of ministry Jesus did while living on earth, and that this reality could only be accomplished by seeing themselves as God saw them. John G. Lake lived his life and fulfilled his ministry in the earth with this type of spiritual understanding. If we would just grasp the reality of our position through Jesus Christ, as Lake did, every nation would ring with the praises of God.

  • was responsible for raising over 1,000,000 converts, 625 churches and 1,250 preachers in five years of ministry.

  • because of his resurrection revelation, had a deadly plague germ die in his hand, yet at the start of his ministry thought one could only be healed in Dr. Dowie's Healing Home.

  • had such an incredible healing ministry, that according to statistics, the U.S. Government declared his city, Spokane, Washington, to be the healthiest city in America.

The Portland Vision - John G. Lake

May 20, 1920

In May, 1920, John G. Lake moved to Portland, Oregon to start and oversee another Apostolic Church. During this time he had the following vision:

He could not sleep so he walked in the shadows of the tall trees in Mount Tabor Park.

“Through the park is a footpath coming down through the trees that leads out to the street where we live, and in my vision I was seemingly out in the street, at the foot of this footpath, and as I looked up in the park I was attracted by a quite brilliant light far up in the park. It was very slowly coming down the pathway to the street. I stood somewhat surprised, supposing it was some night man on some duty in the park, probably searching for something or somebody. As it approached I discovered that, instead, it was an angel presence, and the brilliance was an illumination surrounding him. He stood a few feet from me, and said to me, "I have come to answer your prayers. Come with me.”

Three wreaths: black, pink white.

One dropped in San Francisco. One Honolulu. He said: “Through great suffering, through much tribulation, these have conquered.”

CHINA: A man, a European, was lying on the ground. Close by lay his wife. On one side of her a boy of about seven or eight and on the other side a girl of about ten or twelve. Turning to me the angel said, “These have given their all for the Lord and His Kingdom.” He took a white wreath and as he held it in his hands tears fell upon the wreath and each tear turned into a diamond. It was covered by sparkling diamonds. He dropped the wreath and it lit by the head of the dead missionary.

TRANS-SIBERIAN RAILWAY to MOSCOW and PETROGRAD, He explained the state of suffering of those under Soviet rule. Some scenes were so pitiable that my own soul was moved to tears. He said, “The Dragon, the great red dragon, the hater of Jesus, the enthroner of the human beast-he shall come to his end and none shall help.”

He wanted to ask about Africa but was restrained by the demeanor of the angel. Only limited questions were permitted and some did not consider worthy of an answer.

JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA: “The heart of Jesus was once gladdened here through the glory, the grace and the power of God manifested here. But human pride, formalism and lack of faith have brought disappointment to the heart of Him we love. But the glory will return, and the tried and true, those who have suffered and labored and prayed, will be rewarded. But all self- seekers shall be dethroned.”

INDIA: He could comprehend the soul struggle of certain elements. The angel said, “The present struggle is not a struggle to attain a knowledge of Jesus or to know His salvation. It is, rather, an endeavor to enthrone the heathen ideal of human efficiency.”

PALESTINE: He was made conscious of the enmity between the Jews and the Arabs. The angel said, “The Kingdom must first be in the hearts of men.”

PORTLAND: Church at Portland: “To my amazement, on approaching the building, high in the atmosphere a half a mile or more, I discerned millions of demons, organized as a modern army. There were those who apparently acted as shock troops. They would charge with great ferocity, followed by a wave, and yet another wave, and yet another wave. After a little while I observed there operated a restraining influence that constituted a barrier through which they could not force themselves. With all the ingenuity of humans at war, this multitude of demons seemed to endeavor to break the barrier or to go further, but were utterly restrained. In amazement, I said to the angel, "What does it mean?" He said to me, "Such is the care of God for those that strive in unselfishness for His best.”

I discerned the heart of the angel was overburdened. In answer to this the angel said, “Human selfishness and human pride have consumed and dissipated the very glory and heavenly power that God once gave from heaven to this movement as you have beheld tonight.”

We were now at the foot of the pathway again. He took a step or two away, and in a sort of despair my heart cried out, “Angel, these are struggling for want of an ideal. What constitutes real Pentecost? What ideal should be held before the minds of men as the will of God exhibited through a movement like this?”

During all this time I had carried my Bible in my hand. Reaching for the Bible, he opened to the Book of Acts, ran his finger down over the second page, that portion where the Spirit of God came down from Heaven. Proceeding through the Book of Acts to its great outstanding revelations and phenomena, he said, “This is Pentecost as God gave it through the heart of Jesus. Strive for this. Contend for this. Teach the people to pray for this. For this, and this alone, will meet the necessity of the human heart, and this alone will have the power to overcome the forces of darkness.” When the angel was departing he said, “Pray. Pray. Pray. Teach the people to pray. Prayer and prayer alone, much prayer, persistent prayer, is the door of entrance into the heart of God.”

John G. Lake - Testimony Of Reverend Osborn

Masonic Temple, May 20th, 1917

Hymn: "Oh Touch the Hem of His Garment."

Prayer: Charles J. Westwood

Almighty God, our heavenly Father, we come to the Christ today with thanksgiving, with joy. We bless Thee, O God, for the real consciousness of life. We thank Thee, O God, for the love of the Father. We bless Thee for the knowledge of Jesus Christ, of God as our Savior, as our Healer, as our Cleanser, as our Keeper, as our all and in all. Bless His Holy name!

"Oh God, we thank Thee this afternoon for the conscious presence of real life, that mighty life and power of the Holy Spirit. We thank Thee, O God, that we ever realized that every virtue we possess and every faculty and every thought of holiness, were His alone. We thank Thee for the leading power of the Holy Spirit, 'For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.’ And oh, we thank Thee this afternoon for the precious gathering of the sons of men. We thank Thee that we are part of the precious body of the Christ of God, that He, the head, is at the right hand of God, our loving Father, interceding for us. We thank Thee for the other Intercessor. He, O God, who is in us, pleading in us and with us for God.

"Oh God, help some precious one to realize in their very innermost being through this service the wooing of the Holy Spirit. Let God fill our hearts with joy and gladness as we come into Thy presence in the might and strength of the Holy Spirit, to demonstrate and praise and give thanksgiving unto Thy name.

"Lord, we bless Thee for what Thou hast been to us through another week. We thank Thee for the Christ, for the strength, for the dominion of the sons of God. And Lord God, we come before Thee as Thou hast invited us to and command Thee that the might and power and love of God shall be felt in this meeting, that we may realize that Jesus Christ in His precious promise is here with us today and the very truth of Thee: 'Lo, I am with you all the time, even unto the end of the age.'

"Precious Christ, You are doing the same things this afternoon. You are blessing everyone that comes to Thee with real salvation; You are blessing everyone that comes to Thee with real healing; You are blessing every one that comes to Thee with every desire of their heart, fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Lord God, we bless Thy name for the reality of the real conscious union with God. We ask Thee that this meeting may be alive with the presence of the Holy One, that the power of God may go through us, fill, and radiate from us that we may realize that Thou art with us as Thou wert with Thy children in Jerusalem. Fill our hearts with joy that we may realize the very consciousness of Thy moving in the camp.

"Lord God, bless those who have asked us to pray for them. Lord God, there are many that we would remember this afternoon. We ask that the very presence of Thy seamless dress may be by every bed of pain, and that they may touch Thee in life's throng and press and be made whole again. Lord, hear and bless us and cause Thy face to shine upon us because of the precious token of Thy love, and we will give Thee the praise. Amen."

Testimony Of Reverend Osborn

Mr. Lake: I had promised through the Chronicle that Reverend Osborn would be here to tell of his healing by the power of God. When people get in contact with the power of God, we like to have folks know it. Paul said, "I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Brother Osborn is not a Greek. He is a Methodist minister, and the son of a Methodist minister, and I do not know how many, but it goes back to John Wesley.

(Turning to Reverend Osborn)

Brother, I am glad to see you. I am glad we have not had a funeral and buried Brother Osborn and put a lot of flowers on the grave. That is a great joke, that flower business get a man dead, then they cover him with flowers.

John Wesley was the founder of the Methodist church. He was a man of mighty faith. His journal abounds in wonderful answers to prayer. Healings both of the [illegible].

Reverend Osborn: Some have already heard my story of this healing, but it will bear repeating. I made a confession the other afternoon to Brother Lake that during my six years of ministry that each Sunday morning I was obliged to leave my home and go out to the outside appointment. When I started out in the morning, in my rig, if you should have run into me you would have thought it was a moving drugstore instead of a Methodist preacher.

You would have found my smelling salts in my pocket and codeine in each pocket and aspirin once in awhile. My wife is in the building, and she will bear me out in that statement. I was so nervous that I could not preach without aspirin or codeine. I would return home about three P.M. for dinner and would spend the afternoon in bed, until it was time to preach in the evening, and then go to preach like a half dead preacher, with a half dead sermon.

I would like to say that this blessed light that has come to me is one of the most wonderful things that ever happened in my whole experience. I might say, as most M. E. preachers and I will be perfectly frank, that I was very prejudiced, but thank God, He has taken the prejudice out of me.

A dear old saint came to my bedside and she said,

"Brother Osborn, did you ever hear of Brother Lake?"

I said, "Oh yes, I have heard of Brother Lake, but they can't do anything for me." I was so prejudiced I would not talk about it. I was like most Methodist preachers. I thought he was a fanatic. But now I believe it is the power of God unto salvation — the very power of God.

For three months I laid upon the bed. The doctor said my cause was hopeless. So it was to the doctor. Then I left Addy and came to Spokane and spent one month in the Deaconess Hospital. I had several doctors. Three weeks ago next Tuesday, I left the Deaconess Hospital, you might say, turned away to die. But I could not understand why I had to die when there was so much work to do.

Brother Lake: "No more could the Lord."

Reverend Osborn: That is true, Brother Lake. Before I went to the Deaconess Hospital, just as the taxi pulled up at the door, Brother Fogwill came and said, "Don't go to the Deaconess Hospital, because God knows more in a minute than the doctors know in a lifetime." Friends, I have proven that that is true. Brother Fogwill prayed for me, and that night my kidneys flushed the first time for nearly four months. Yet I [missing pages].

(Turning to Mr. Lake). Brother Lake, I have counted the cost.

I would rather be here this afternoon, well, speaking to you, than as Brother Lake said, a dead Methodist preacher. An Irishman said he would rather be a live Irishman than a dead hero. I would rather be a live witness for Jesus Christ, even if some will consider that I have turned my back on the old church, than be a dead preacher. But, thank God, I have not. My mind goes back to my ministerial education and the life of our beloved Wesley. If there ever was a man who believed in divine healing it was John Wesley. He knew the power of God, and those who know the power of God this afternoon cannot deny the gospel of healing. This is not a new gospel, but is the old gospel that Christians have left to die.

I do not wish to finish without saying a word about my mother. God bless mothers. My mother is one of the saintliest women I know. I have not seen her for six years, but I have heard from her every week, and at the bottom of her letters is always this sentence, "Son, I am praying for you." Some will understand what that means to a young man. During my sickness there was always that thought, that mother was praying for me. Thank God for a godly mother. Thank God for a godly father. Thank God this afternoon that the children will rise up and call the parents blessed, because they have taught them to walk in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

And now my mother's prayers have a new answer. God has come to me. Jesus Christ is now Savior of both love and body. I am healed and am going to preach this wonderful Gospel wherever I go.

SUN STOOD STILL EXACT DATE:

Joshua 10:12-14

Sun Stands Still Allowing Defeat of Amorites

There has been much speculation in Biblical commentaries to explain this text. Scripture is clear that the sun stood still and the moon stopped. Many claim some form of a solar eclipse that kept the sun’s heat from Israel’s soldiers until they prevailed against the Amorites. Other commentaries claim that the sun appeared to stop. Joshua 10:13 is very clear about what happened: “So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day”. American Indians, who would have been on the other side of the earth, talk about the “long night” that occurred at this same time in history. This research concludes that what is probably being described here is a 48-hour Friday with one sunrise and one sunset. This Friday covers two days of time on the Gregorian-Hebrew calendar. The obvious purpose of this miracle is to show God’s power in giving Israel a victory over the Amorites. It is also an answer to Joshua’s public prayer request before all of Israel. In relation to the effect on earth’s calendars, this is one of eight days needed to line up 4,096 Gregorian solar years and the 364-Day calendar (4,110 years) from Day 7 of Creation Week to the birth of Jesus in 5 BC.
