Welcome to Overcoming Fear.
1) We are going to put faith in you by teaching you what the bible has to say about what you are going through, and together with God’s help are going to face the situation head on together.
2) We are going to the ocean and pray for you.
3) THEN WE ARE GOING TO GO TO A HIGH PLACE - share how you can move forward and overcome anytime FEAR COMES NEAR YOU - YES!!!
4) then we are going to end up back here at the base and share some closing comments.

1 Teaching the Bible
Fear will rob you of your time, your energy, your health, your prosperity, and you will cut your life short.
100’s fears - we are born we only have 2 fears - the Fear of falling and loud noises - all other fears are learned - if they can be learned then they can be unlearned - we are going to break fears today by the power of the risen Christ.
63 times God says in the bible fear not. like…
Deuteronomy 31:6 (NKJV)
Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”
God wants us to FACE AND conquer fear so we can lead successful lives full of freedom. First we must face our fears.
Benaiah was a man in the bible we are going to look at today. We can learn a thing or two by his life.
2 Samuel 23:20-21 (NIV)
Benaiah son of Jehoiada, a valiant fighter from Kabzeel, performed great exploits. He struck down Moab’s two mightiest warriors. He also went down into a pit on a snowy day and killed a lion. 21 And he struck down a huge Egyptian. Although the Egyptian had a spear in his hand, Benaiah went against him with a club. He snatched the spear from the Egyptian’s hand and killed him with his own spear.
Benaiah with God’s Help had to learn to face his fear in order to do God’s Will.
What kind of person was He?
1 of the top five soldiers in all of Israel - One of David’s Mighty Men - General in the Israeli Army with access to 24 thousand - Captain of King David’s Body Guard - Best of the Best he would choose, train and equip to protect the king.

HE STEPPED DOWN into a dark cave on a snowy day.
THE LION WAS A DANGER. FEAR IS A DANGER TO US AND THOSE AROUND US…
He goes down and corners a lion - this guy was not your normal christian - most christians live in the normal or the natural sense realm - they do NOT face their fears.
BENIAH - supernaturally exceptional - HE chased after God’s dreams - lived with no regrets. So we have to change our view on normal - it must be normal for us to face our fears. You need to chase down and conquer your lion. The bible says your enemy in life is like a lion:
1 Peter 5:8 (AMPC)
8 Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.
God is telling you today to chase and conquer those fears you have in your life that are holding you hostage. You need to cast them out of your life.
Today your challenge is - What lion do you need to chase? what lion do you need to conquer?
Is it that you need to:
go to college - learn a language - learn a new sport - musical instrument
go after that better job so you can move up in life
a business you are suppose to start
A person you have been thinking about on a date
A book inside of you that wants to come out
Maybe God is calling you to start giving your tithe or more money to the church
a ministry inside of you so you can help people
Maybe facing your father or mother about a relationship Jesus Christ
What step do you need to take? What lion do you need to chase and conquer?
Today is is time to take the step today.
Just like Benanai - I have things I face in my life everyday that i am scared to do - I need to pray and I attack.
You are a lion chaser - I want to pray for you and let Jesus chase the lion out of your life. and then teach you how to keep strong and be a lion/fear chaser.
LETS GO TO THE OCEAN I WANT TO PRAY FOR YOU - SEE YOU THERE.

Prayer for you.
God loves you And I love you - He is going to break the chains of any bondage over you - and that is what I am expecting right now.
Salvation prayer - today we don't want anyone to go away from here not knowing Jesus Christ - True joy is having Jesus in your life and your heart the Lord of your life.
Romans 10:9 (NIV)
9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
So everybody raise their hand towards heaven because that's where our help comes from - Let’s the affirm or reaffirm our faith in Jesus Christ.

18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
You have to cast, drive, tell fear to leave.
Now lets go up to the mountain top and show you how to keep you strong, what you received by faith right now.
4) On the Mountain Top
1.Reading God’s Word - The Bible - is really important.

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Proverbs 18:14 (AMPC)
14 The strong spirit of a man sustains him in bodily pain or trouble, but a weak and broken spirit who can raise up or bear?
It shows you you do not have to fear about your future because God Loves you and has a great future for you.
Jeremiah 29:11 (NLT)
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Read God’s Word and you will have the power to overcome every obstacle and circumstance - keeping you strong everyday.
2) Use the Name of Jesus - Jesus gave us His name to Use - His name is above all and has all authority in Heaven and in earth. HOW DO WE USE THE NAME?
Philippians 2:9-10 (NLT)
Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.
Mark 16:17-18 (KJV)
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
It's up to us - it’s our responsibility to use His name, so we can use it to be prosperous and successful and strong and help others around us every day of our lives.
3) Guard your mind and replace fear with faith.
Faith and Fear do not live together - Dump the fear and take the faith.
—- These forces are opposite forces in the earth. We see this in scripture.
